This lesson is all about showing identity through personal exploration, creation, acceptance, and group understanding.

Students will learn the meaning of Identity and Diversity by putting their own unique piece into the puzzle.

Before presenting the lesson to the students, we created two teacher samples. These gave students a better idea of what we expected from them. We explained each sample's images, which also acted as a way to bond with the students.

The students did an amazing job at putting together the puzzle. Some students completed their pieces upside down, but that only added to the fun.
